Now people use a huge number of devices that require small-sized power sources. There are few options to provide it. One of the most common ways to provide power to portable devices is the use of galvanic power sources, in which electricity is generated as a result of a chemical reaction.
In order to ensure reliable long-term operation of such batteries, it is necessary to observe the purity of technological processes and use advanced developments in this field. One of the best manufacturers of batteries and accumulators that meet these requirements is Duracell (Durasel is read in Russian).

About Duracell
The American company Duracell is a world leader in the production of high-quality alkaline and lithium batteries, as well as batteries. Its official website is www.duracell.com, the regional Russian version is https://www.duracell.ru/.
The company was founded in 1924 under the name “P.R. Mallory Company. " The first batteries that it produced were mercury military power supplies. Since then, Durasel has repeatedly produced innovative batteries that are significantly superior to competitors in their characteristics.
The Duracell brand is officially registered in 1964, its name comes from the abbreviation of the English phrase durable cell, which means a long-term battery. Products under this brand are produced by several factories located around the world: in the USA, Belgium, Switzerland, Mexico, China, Japan. Accordingly, the country of origin of Durasel batteries may vary.
Since February 2016, it has been managed by Berkshire Hathaway, an American holding company owned by Warren Buffett.
Duracell Battery Classes and Technologies
According to the information on the Russian site https://www.duracell.ru, this company produces three main classes of alkaline batteries (alkaline): Basic, Professional and Turbo Max (in the USA they are designated Coppertop, Procell and Quantum, respectively). These are the most popular cylindrical elements with excellent technical characteristics, preserving performance at temperatures from -20 to +54 degrees.
All 3 series are manufactured using the Duralock Power Preserve technological know-how, which provides an extended shelf life of up to 10 years (for a 9-volt battery, up to 5 years).
Let us consider in more detail the difference between these batteries.
Duracell basic
This is the basic series of alkaline batteries, it has five main sizes: AA, AAA, C, D - for one and a half volts, and also the Duracell Basic 9V battery (better known as Krone) - for 9 volts.
These products have a good balance of consumer qualities, designed for small and medium energy-intensive devices. According to representatives of Durasel, products of this line have a large capacity of up to 40% than similar elements of competitors.
Duracell Professional
This is an improved (Professional) line of alkaline elements at one and a half volts, with two main sizes: AA, AAA. Theoretically, they should serve up to 70% longer than similar elements from other manufacturers.
Duracell Turbo Max
This series is the best thanks to the use of high density core. It is well suited for high power devices. There are five basic sizes for this line: AA, AAA, C, D with a voltage of one and a half volts and a Turbo Max 9V 9 volt battery.
Turbo Max products are equipped with a charge indicator made using the patented Powercheck technology, which allows you to visually evaluate the remaining capacity without additional devices. To do this, click on the white dots on the case, after which the light thermochromic indicator lights up, showing the level of the remaining capacity.

Is it possible to charge Durasel batteries
Any batteries, including those made by Durasel, cannot be charged due to the irreversibility of chemical reactions. Only rechargeable batteries with the special designation Rechargeable are possible.
In the event of a charge or recharge of disposable batteries, they heat up, resulting in possible electrolyte leakage or explosion!
