Service and Charging
Due to the fact that the product plates are made of calcium alloyed lead, the battery case can be made of a low-maintenance type. That is, the water will boil away, but very slowly. Despite the fact that the plates of calcium batteries are more resistant to adverse operating conditions, in order not to reduce the maximum shelf life of the product, it is recommended to charge the Storm battery with a current that is 10% of the total battery capacity. The duration of such a charge should not exceed 10 hours, and to replenish the supply of electricity, it is recommended to use only factory models of chargers. Set the current strength to 14.6 volts.
How to find out the release date and decrypt the code
Each car owner, before purchasing a new battery, must determine its release date. This is necessary so as not to purchase a product in which, due to long-term storage, an oxide film has formed on lead plates.
Marking is usually applied to the top cover of batteries manufactured by Autopart. The code is decrypted as follows:
- The first two digits are the day of the month.
- The third digit allows you to determine the year of manufacture.
- The next Latin letter is the month in which the battery was manufactured.
- The last letter is the country.
For example, code 019AP, indicates that the battery was manufactured on January 1, 2019 in Poland.
