AlphaLINE AGM
The peculiarity of the AGM technology is that the electrolyte here is not in a liquid state and not in the form of a gel, as in other models, but is used as an impregnation of fiberglass. As a result, it is in close contact with the plates, resulting in increased equipment uptime. Such batteries are not at all afraid of vibration, as well as temperature and pressure drops. Their features:
- supports Start-Stop system;
- ability to withstand 3-4 times more cycles of a full discharge-charge;
- resistance to deep discharge and quick recovery after it;
Such batteries are suitable not only for cars, but also for industrial equipment, electric vehicles, water transport, special equipment, autonomous power supplies, campsites, solar panels and so on.

AlphaLine Battery Maintenance
AlphaLine batteries are completely maintenance free. Therefore, as such, service is not available. There is no access to banks, which means opening the lids and adding water will not work. So it remains to wipe the battery from dirt from time to time, clean the terminals from oxidation and, if necessary, recharge.
Some craftsmen say that you can still remove the cover and add water if necessary, but in this case the battery flies from the warranty and you will need to constantly monitor it as if it is being serviced.
With proper operation, the battery will last for a long time without any maintenance, and after this period the owner will only have to change the equipment.
How to charge AlphaLine batteries
As with all maintenance-free batteries, the need to charge them is extremely rare. For example, in cold weather or during prolonged idle periods when a deep discharge occurs. Or at boat motors when they are used only seasonally and are idle for six months.
It is recommended to use special automatic smart charges, they will clearly monitor the voltage and progress of the charge. It is also important to observe the polarity and clean the vent valves located on the sides of the battery.
Current should be set within 10% of capacity. That is, if the capacity is 55A / h, then you need to set up to 5.5 A. If there is no suitable value on the device, then take the closest one to the smaller side. The voltage must be gradually increased to 16.5 volts. Charging time depends on the degree of discharge.
If the voltage is exceeded, the liquid will begin to separate, as a result, its density will increase, and the volume will decrease. Since the battery is maintenance free, you cannot open the cover and add content, so you cannot bring it to this state. That is why it is important to use a special charger and carefully monitor the charging process.
Did you have or have a battery Alphaline? Then tell us in the comments about your impressions about him, this will greatly help other motorists and will make the material more complete and accurate.

The old battery is dead. I decided to pick a new one. I searched for a long time, read reviews, descriptions on official sites. He stopped at AlphaLINE Ultra. He fell into place, as if he had always been here. The work is just a beast, I am satisfied.
Valery
Good, I use it for the third year. The car always starts up without problems, even when it stood in the parking lot at minus 35. The engine, however, went hard, but it went the same way.

Not a bad battery. The price is reasonable. If you take it more qualitatively, it will be more expensive, of course.
As you can see, there is nothing super complicated in charging a calcium battery.The battery is quite modern and requires several other approaches when charging and servicing. But in the presence of a functional memory, charging a calcium battery is not difficult. Calcium batteries have a number of serious advantages, but they are not without drawbacks. Remember that they do not tolerate deep discharge very well. Also, do not forget that for short and short trips, the calcium battery must be fully recharged periodically from the charger.
Hello. I bought the Alphaline Ultra UMF 60500 battery in May 2018. At the end of January 2019, it froze in the cold and did not start the car. All summer departed without problems. In November of this year, in cold weather, problems with the launch began again. I gave it for service to the store where I purchased it, after which the workers, having shown that the battery was in order, tested it with a load plug with me, returned it. But the problem remained - in the cold at the start of failure. The voltage of the car's on-board network is normal (14.2-14.5 V), no leaks were detected.
Tell me, by what algorithm is it necessary to charge this battery and what is the maximum voltage?
Alphaline Ultra UMF 60500 has a capacity of 105 Ah, which means we set the current strength to 10% of the capacity, i.e. ~ 10 amperes. The voltage is 14.4 V. Over time, charging will take about 10 hours.
Perhaps you drive a short distance, so the battery does not have time to warm up and recharge. For 2-3 such trips, the battery landed.
Thanks. Yes 105 Ah. 22-50 km per day. Those. the charge voltage is not like for 16.5 volt calcium batteries, as described above here?
The fact is that at a voltage of 14.4-14.5 V, he does not even try to boil, and there is also completely no heating when charging. NRC after sludge at the terminals is about 12.3-12.4 V. Is this not enough?
