The advantage of this modification of the Vympel charger is the possibility of using the device in two modes: automatic and non-automatic. In addition to charging the batteries, the device can be operated as a fairly powerful DC source.

How to charge the battery using a pennant 30

Regardless of the selected charge mode, the battery should only be connected to a de-energized device. In this case, there is no sparking between the terminals and the terminals of the device.

If you connect the device to a serviced battery in violation of this instruction, and also when charging the battery in a car, the likelihood of a fire increases significantly. In addition, the regulator for increasing the current strength must be moved to the extreme left position.

Auto mode

In automatic mode, the voltage switch must be set at 14.8 volts. If the battery is charging, the plates of which are doped with calcium, then in this case it is necessary to set the toggle switch to a voltage of 16 V.

After turning on the device, the current recommended by the battery manufacturer is set. In this automatic mode, the battery will be charged until, at a given amperage, the voltage at the terminals reaches a predetermined voltage. At the end of the charge cycle, the device will independently reduce the current value, which will avoid overcharging the battery.

In non-automatic mode

If necessary, you can use the memory in a non-automatic mode. To do this, turn the voltage switch to 19 V. After turning on the device in the network, you need to set the desired value of the charging current and keep the device turned on until the battery is fully restored.

Unlike automatic mode, the device will not turn off when it reaches full charge, so you will need to independently check the battery charge level throughout the entire battery life.
